EXTRAPOLATION OF MAPUCHE ICONOGRAHY

The Extrapolation of Mapuche Iconography project began in 1993 with simple images. These are signs of abstract forms, dominated by nature, silence, and primal gestures.
From abstraction to realism, where we observe the synthesis of two worlds, it is linked to the primary images of Mapuche iconography, a culture originating from south-central Chile and Argentina, and to digital technology.

* Mapuche is the cultural name of the most famous ancestral people of southern Chile and Argentina.
